Undergraduate

Whether learning how to guide an organization through major changes or exploring the approaches to effective communication, our undergraduate students are immersed in the study of academic theory and its application to real-world scenarios. Between the two majors and three minors offered by the department, students have a broad spectrum of options to focus their area of study. Undergraduates can also extend their studies to internships, taking advantage of the department’s many ties to local and national organizations in the nation’s capital.

Research is woven into the undergraduate program, with capstone projects, honors projects and independent research options. Students complete and present research throughout their course of study, and many pursue research-based internships to prepare them for professional employment.
