The third LEAD Distinguished Speaker Event occurred on 11 April 2017 beginning at 7:00 p.m.  CCAS Dean Ben Vinson welcomed the audience, Program Director Dr. Clay Warren (USNA, ’68) made the introductions, and Major General (USMC, ret.) Charles Bolden (USNA, ’68) presented an insightful leadership talk to 120 attendees in GW’s Marvin Center  Amphitheater.  Recently retired as 12 th Administrator of NASA, and a former Astronaut with four space shuttle missions to his credit, Charlie used a short film about space and a variety of leadership examples to support his talk entitled “NASA as an Instrument of Soft Power.”  Following the event, a wine and cheese reception was held to allow attendees to talk informally, and take photos, with Major General Bolden.
