Gracie Schirle joined the Industrial-Organizational Psychology doctoral program at George Washington University in 2023 after earning a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Sociology from Fordham University. Her primary research interests are in occupational health psychology, with a focus on how clinical disorders function in the workplace. Her second-year project examined the role of leadership in shaping employee depression and emotional exhaustion over time.

At GWU, Gracie is a member of the Stress & Occupational Health Across the Lifespan (SOHAL) Lab, the Collaboration and Organizational Learning Lab (COLLab), and the Leadership & Diversity Lab. She has contributed to projects on borderline personality disorder, workaholism, eldercare, stress appraisals, training, and leadership, utilizing a range of methods and designs, including experience sampling and meta-analysis.
