Dr. Kristin Froemling Ball is a part-time Communication professor who earned her Ph.D. at University of Oklahoma where she studied interpersonal communication and political communication. She has 27 years of teaching experience at universities in Ohio, Oklahoma, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate communication courses, including communication theory (her personal favorite) and subjects related to organizational and interpersonal communication.

In 2023, she ran for Fairfax County Public Schools School Board (Mason District) in Virginia and learned a lot about running a political campaign. Currently she volunteers for nonprofit organizations where she serves as the Chair of Stars & Stripes NOVA Committee and Vice Chair of Communications for America United Foundation.
