Courtney Lamie has worked at the intersection of policy, politics, and communications for two decades. She currently serves as the Chief Experience Officer at Crosscut Strategies, a boutique strategic communications firm based in Washington, D.C. Courtney ensures that clients’ needs are met quickly and to the highest standards, and she oversees the firm's account work. With deep experience in health care and technology built throughout her career, she has led work with a range of clients at Crosscut, from multi-state primary care providers, to Fortune 500 companies, large advocacy organizations, and high-growth startups.

Courtney got her start working for her home district congressman and tech policy leader, U.S. Rep. Rick Boucher, from 2004 to 2010. Courtney served as Boucher’s press secretary and then communications director during his time as an Energy and Commerce Committee subcommittee chair. Prior to joining Crosscut, Courtney founded the communications department at the Application Developers Alliance, a non-profit global membership organization dedicated to supporting app developers, where she led national advocacy campaigns on patent reform and privacy. Before that, Courtney worked in digital, grassroots, and policy communication at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.

A native Virginian, Courtney holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Virginia and a Master’s degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University.
