Funding

All incoming PhD students receive two years of support through graduate teaching assistantships (GTAs), fellowships or grant funding. Third-year students and beyond are eligible to receive funding through grants, paid internships or teaching opportunities, depending on availability and interests. Funding beyond two years is not guaranteed when an offer of admission is made.

Funding of up to $600/year is also available to support students who are presenting a poster or paper at a research conference.

Graduate Teaching Assistantships

Graduate teaching assistantships (GTAs) offer tuition support and career advancement for doctoral students. To learn more about available positions, contact the I-O GTA coordinator, who is responsible for gathering requests for GTA positions, distributing forms to faculty, making assignments, monitoring workloads and resolving issues with faculty and GTAs. Current GTAs should also review the departmental guidelines.
