Adm. Michael Mullen addressed the responsibilities he faced as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Adm. (ret.) Michael Mullen (USNA '68) gave a talk entitled "Leadership in the 21st Century: Responsibility Requires Accountability.” Mullen’s distinguished career includes serving as the 17th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the highest rank in the U.S. Armed Forces, from October 2007 through September 2011. Following the event, Mullen met guests at a wine and cheese reception.
