Current Research
Dr. Riemann's research focuses on relationship dissolution, specifically broken marriage engagements. She examines why relationships end, social support encountered in the process, including helpful and unhelpful messages, and other relational factors surrounding breakups and moving forward afterward.
Prior to earning her Ph.D., Dr. Riemann consulted, worked in state and federal government, including on Capitol Hill, and at a public affairs firm. She developed an interest in health communication while working at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. A Wisconsin native, Dr. Riemann also spent time in Florida, serving as a speechwriter to the governor, and as the communications director at the Florida Department of Health, where her team won an Emmy for a public service campaign.
